Trek Manager David "D3"

History : D3 was the first Trek member to get DarkBASIC which was suggested to him by a friend. After making Etch-A-Sketch, he came up with the idea of making an amateur company and website to publish and distribute his productions. Using his limited knowledge of HTML, he drafted up the initial Trek Website. In the four months following this, D3 produced Arcade Racer, RISK Dice Simulator, Text Blaster, Skeet Shootout, Freedom 10-4, and Sub Hunter. These were all fairly small games made mainly to try out new programming knowledge. Then, while working on Alley Squirrel, D3 taught himself HTML and produced a newer version of the Trek website. After the release of Alley Squirrel and its publication in theGameCreators newsletter, he further updated the Trek Website with animated buttons, table-based navigation panel, and the FAQ section. Currently he's made 15 productions and had 3 games published in widely-read online newsletters.

Role in company : As the Manager of Trek Software, D3 designs and updates the official website, works on his own productions, occasionally helps other programmers debug their programs, and writes up game descriptions when publishing other members productions. He also administrates the Trek Software forum.

Other computer expertise : Besides running Trek Software, D3 also teaches a basic computer literacy course. Langauges he's learned include DarkBASIC (Classic and Pro), GW BASIC, HTML, Visual C++.NET, and is currently learning Java.

Trek Vice Manager Chase "CB"

History : CB was the second member to join Trek Software. He was introduced to DarkBASIC by D3 and learned it completely from scratch having no former programming knowledge. After making a number guessing game, a spaceship maze game, an advanced pong game, and several other games (none of which were released), he became Trek Vice Manager. Right away, he got to work on making his first publicly released game - Soccer Extreme. A perfectionist, CB spent hours making it fully 3D with challenging AI, a full intro, a highly detailed club-house, and an easy-to-use menu. Its release and publication in theGameCreators newsletter gave Trek a huge publicity boost. His latest release, Shutdown, is sure to be just as much, if not more of a hit.

Role in company : Most of the time, CB works on programming his own productions. However, he also beta-tests D3's games offering suggestions and tips on improvement and co-administrates the Trek Software forum.

Other computer expertise : While he would never admit it, CB is an exceptional 3D Modeller. His club house in Soccer Extreme is a perfect example. He's also modelled a highly detailed middle-ages farmer and several other models which haven't been released. For creating in-game graphics for his productions he uses Picture It 2001!.
